Now in its 3rd year, DJAZZ: The Durham City Jazz Festival brings you an eclectic mix of contemporary and traditional jazz set against the backdrop of some of Durham’s most intriguing venues.

Tickets are available now for a flat rate of £20 for the weekend and the programme will be released on April 18th with a special launch event.

Line Up
As ever, we are working on a fantastic line up of local, national and international acts. We have announced the first batch of bands with more to come, along with venues and partners. The full programme, including headliners will be announced at the launch event on April 18th.

Being ‘of the city’ is a core part of the festival and true to our vision of collaboration we have another great selection of spaces which will be transformed into jazz venues, clubs and hubs for the weekend. Venues will be announced at the launch event on April 18th and on this website thereafter.

DJAZZ is an independently run festival brought to you by AT the ROOT & Empty ShopEach year we collaborate with a host of partners. This year’s partners will be announced soon.

Artist Development Day

We’re excited to announce a NEW partnership with Tipping Point – powered by Generator.

For DJAZZ 2019, they will bring a selection of leading industry specialists together for artist development sessions on Sun 9th June.

Ahead of DJAZZ 2019 we are excited to bring you a special festival launch event with music by HAND TO MOUTH.

This festival launch marks the return of DJAZZ. We’ll be announcing our programme and venues as well as informing you of exciting changes to format and all upcoming DJAZZ activity.
